Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Splatter has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to the Splatter app and splatterapp.com.
What is banned
- Any image, video, 3D scene, scan, drawing, AI-made or edited content that shows or sexualises anyone under 18.
- Grooming: contacting a minor to build trust for sexual purposes, asking a minor for images, or arranging to meet a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sextortion, trafficking, and sharing, asking for, or linking to CSAM anywhere.
- Content that praises or normalises the abuse of children.
How we prevent it
- Splatter is for people aged 13 and over. Accounts found to belong to younger children are removed.
- People can make their account private, choose who may message and comment on them, and block anyone.
- Chat photos, videos and voice notes are private to the people in the chat, and speed limits slow down mass messaging.
- Our guidelines ban pinning homes, schools or any place where a specific child can be found on the Places map.
How to report
- In the app: use the ••• menu on the post, comment or profile, then Report. Choose the reason that fits best and add details.
- By email: support@splatterapp.com with "Child safety" in the subject. Include the username and a link to the post if you can. Please don't attach or forward the abusive content itself.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first (in Pakistan: 15).
What we do
- Child safety reports go to the front of the queue. We act on them as fast as we can, and in any case within 24 hours.
- We remove the content, permanently ban the accounts involved, and keep the evidence securely as the law requires.
- We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant law enforcement authorities, including in Pakistan, and we cooperate with valid legal requests.
Laws we follow
We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us, including Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, and with the requirements of the Apple App Store and Google Play.
